The Magick is Back

If you’re reading this, you probably know that we recently changed our name from our original Magick Lantern to Resolution Media & Entertainment.

The shift reflected our growth as a business: from post-production house to a full service company providing strategy, content and production as part of a 360-degree marketing approach. It also reflected our continual growth into markets outside the southeast.

As it turns out, we weren’t the only Resolution in our industry.

That sparked some reflection by our team. And we decided we missed being Magick.

Our entire reason for being is creating to inspire. Everything—from storyboarding to shooting, concepting to craft services, motion graphics to music—all of it comes down to sparking action.

“Magick” sums that up perfectly.

Magick is what it feels like to help bring an acclaimed series like Archer to life. It’s how you feel helping an organization like LifeLine find homes for abandoned animals. It’s how it feels being an integral part of Atlanta’s film community for three decades.

Magick is who we are. It’s what we do.

It’s our name again, as well. Magick Lantern. Create to inspire.

While we’re on the topic of Magick, you might be wondering about the “k” at the end. It’s a distinction we love.

“Magic”—no “k”—is about card tricks and sawing people in half. It’s about illusion.

“Magick” is about transformation and growth—inside each one of us, in the world all around us.

That’s what we strive for. And we couldn’t be more excited to have reclaimed it as Magick Lantern.
